Welcome to the Romanian news article selection section

  1. The first thing you will need is the search results window. Open it now by clicking here and do not close it until you decide to leave the application.

  2. If you want to do some already-prepared tasks, click here.

  3. Alternatively, if you want to explore the resources on your own - which you are definitely encouraged to do -, you need to choose which Romanian article you want to read; you can see the materials sorted according to:
how many nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs (i.e. content words) they contain that have an English or French equivalent, related or structurally similar word (this is likely to be the best place to start for beginners)
whether they contain more of the following part of speech than the average - first click the radio button on the left-hand side, then choose a criterion on the right-hand side
their length
their average sentence length
when they were published
how many different words are used in each article
how many related articles they have in the corpus - first click the radio button on the left-hand side, then choose a criterion on the right-hand side
the domains the stories deal with - first click the radio button on the left-hand side, then choose a criterion on the right-hand side

NOTE: regardless of the criterion you choose, some of the other ones will also be taken into account occasionally in order to present you with the easiest Romanian articles to read (do I hear cheers from the beginners? For that there is always Twitter and my ID: @elearningbakery.)
